SUPERGIRL | Clara

Clara made the cutest little Supergirl and I am absolutely in love with this session! I know you wouldn't believe it if I told you that this smiley baby was very much NOT happy at first! Clara just wasn't feeling it that morning, and the combination of sleepiness, teething, and being in a strange new place was just too overwhelming for this sweet girl! But just like how we all need to reset ourselves sometimes, that's just what she needed as well. Clara's parents took her home for a nap and we left everything set up for her to return after lunch. As you can see, she came back ready to give her best smiles for the camera and enjoy her super yummy cake! One thing I stress to parents is that these sessions are "baby-led" and if we need to adjust to make sure the birthday kiddo is comfortable, we absolutely will. I dedicate my entire day to cake smashes, never booking more than one in a day. So if it takes us a little longer to get through a session because baby needs a break, that's fine! If you need to leave with your baby and come back later that day, also fine! If I have to hide myself to snap quick shots when baby isn't looking because #StrangerDanger, I'm cool with it. I've done it all and I promise at Marshall + Grey we're committed to getting those sweetest images that you invested in!!
